Kili's Very First Field trip!

Dear Friends,

I went on my first field trip today! i liked riding the bus! it was bumpy!

We got to walk on a bridge to the ship. We sang three songs for the crew and made them a MAHALO sign for all they do for us. They liked our singing!

They showed us how to rescue a man overboard and how they put out a fire. I got to hold the water hose! It spit out salt water and we got all wet! It was fun. They also showed us how they steer the ship, and how they ring a bell at the front of the boat if the fog horn doesn't work.

We ate spam musubi in the mess hall. they made cookies for us too! I saw the post office and the barber shop, but i didn't want to cut my hair! We were supposed to wear red, white and blue. I wore pink!

Tomorrow is snow day at school. I can't wait!

Love,

Kilinoe

Zoo day with class friends!

While we are waiting for the temporary classrooms at school to be set up after the fire, Kili and her friends in Class 4 at Central Union got together for a fun day at the Honolulu Zoo! Kili was so happy to see her friends!

Colby G, Liliko, Bella, Kasin & Maddie had a blast learning about animal skeletons, checking out the toddler zoo and of course, playing on the playground!
